Route tachograph wiring harness
1 Route the branch-off line of the tachograph wiring harness with the line terminal 31 (br) and the 2-pin CAN connector housing (2) from the center part of the dashboard starting from under the dashboard into the front passenger footwell.
2 Route the branch-off line of the tachograph wiring harness with the line terminal 30 (red) and the 2-pin connector housing separation point terminal 15 (4) from the center part of the dashboard starting from under the dashboard into the driver footwell.
3 Guide the 8-pin plug of the tachograph wiring harness (1) to the connection at the tachograph out of the installation opening of the stowage compartment below the control and operating unit for the climate control.







Connect tachograph wiring harness into the driver footwell

4 Connect line terminal 30 (red) to the fuse location 11 (arrow) of the fuse block (9-fuses) (F55/2).
5 Insert 7.5 A fuse in the fuse location 11.







6 Unpin line terminal 15 (black/red) from chamber 8 of the diagnostic socket (16-pin) (X11).
7 Insert line terminal 15 (black) from 2-pin connector housing separation point terminal 15 (3) at the point of the unpinned line into chamber 8 of the 16-pin diagnostic socket (X11).
8 At 16-pin diagnostic socket (X11), insert unpinned line circuit 15 (black/red) in the free chamber of connector housing for 2-pin connecting point for circuit 15 (3).
9 Connect 2-pin connector housing separation point terminal 15 (3) with the 2-pin connector housing separation point terminal 15 (4).







Connect tachograph wiring harness in the front passenger footwell

10 Connect 2-pin CAN connector housing (2) to a free chamber of the engine CAN bus connection (X30/27).
11 Connect line terminal 31 (br) to the cockpit ground point CLS 2 (W1/5).
