AN54.65-D-0030-03S Retrofit Backup Camera Wiring Harness







1 Route the supply line and video line (2d) along the vehicle wiring harness up to the left seat frame and fasten with the cable tie (4).







2 Remove fuse block (9 fuses) (F55/3).
3 Lead through the line for circuit 15, pink/black of the supply line (2d) at the seat frame.
If the slot for fuse 3 is not assigned, carry out step 4; if assigned carry out steps 5 and 6.

4 Release fuse block (9 fuses) (F55/3) and connect plug contact circuit 15 (6a) to slot 3.
5 Release fuse block (9 fuses) (F55/3) and pull plug contact for circuit 15 (6a) out of slot 3.
6 Cut off both plug contacts (6a) for circuit 15, crimp on doubled and connect to slot 3.
7 Insert fuse block (9 fuses) (F55/3).
8 Insert a 5 A fuse in slot 3.







9 Route the supply line and video line (2d) and line (2c) for monitor shutoff out of the seat frame further under the right floor lining up to the center console.
10.1 On vehicles with COMAND operating, display and controller unit guide the supply line and video line (2d) through below the center console and route up to the stowage compartment of the center console.
10.2 On vehicles without COMAND operating, display and controller unit guide the supply line and video line (2d) below the center console and up to the radio recess.
11 Route the line (2c) for monitor-shutoff from the radio recess on to the instrument cluster.
12 Pin plug contact of line (2c) for monitor-shutoff at multiplug of the Instrument cluster into chamber 9.







13 Connect line for backup lamp (2f) to backup lamp connector sleeve (Z38).







14 Fasten ground line (8) for circuit 31 at ground support point for rear pillar and at driver seat frame.
