GF80.20-D-4011HA Receive Remote Control Signal, Function

Remote control with infrared transmission on vehicles except code (ZU7) National version for Canada or except code (ZU8) National version for USA
The infrared (IR) signal is received by the driver door IR receiver (A26/1) in the door handle and relayed to the driver door control unit (N69/1). The code contained in the signal for access authorization and the remote control command are forwarded by the driver door control unit as a Controller Area Network (data bus/CAN bus) (CAN) message to the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73).

Remote control with radio transmission
The remote control radio signal is received over the antenna in the direction of travel behind the dashboard and forwarded over a direct line to the EIS [EZS] control unit (). The EIS control unit converts radio signals into data signals.
The EIS [EZS] control unit checks the access authorization code and, if the code is found to be valid, it sends a corresponding message to the Controller Area Network bus, class B (interior) CAN B.
