GF80.50-D-6050H Battery-Operated Horn, Component Description
GF80.50-D-6050H Battery-Operated Horn, Component Description
- with CODE (FY1) ATA 2 with interior protection, towing sensor and battery-operated horn
Shown with code (E28) Additional 12 V 100 Ah battery
H3/1 Battery-operated horn
Location
The battery-operated horn is located below the holder of the additional battery (G1/2) with code (E28) Additional 12 V 100 Ah battery or additional 12 V 88 Ah battery, which is located in the left engine compartment.
Task
The battery-operated horn sounds during an anti-theft alarm (ATA) or when the communication is interrupted.
Design
The battery-operated horn consists of the following components:
- Horn
- Control electronics with data interface
- Emergency power supply battery (rechargeable battery)
Function
The battery-operated horn is read in and actuated by the overhead control panel control unit (N70) via a bi-directional single-wire interface.
The overhead control panel control unit transmits a test signal to the battery-operated horn every 960 ms and checks whether the battery-operated horn is still connected.
If the communication to the battery-operated horn is interrupted or if the overhead control panel control unit actuates the battery-operated horn via the control electronics with data interface with an ATA alarm, the battery-operated horn is actuated (2 Hz ±0.2 Hz) for 0 to 60 s (in 5-s- increments, parameterizable).
