Approaching vehicle







Open electric load compartment sliding door (E-LST)
Function requirements:
- Authentic transmitter key (A8/1) recognized
- Transmitter key outside of vehicle
- Approaching vehicle from side in direction of E-LST

Sequence for opening when approaching passenger side:
- When approaching the vehicle (approx. 4 m), the transmitter key is woken up and identified by the vehicle.
- If a valid transmitter key is recognized, the system attempts to locate the transmitter key.
- STR control unit (N69/6) transmits to opening assist the signal "Open E-LST lock"
- E-LST locks transmits to STR control unit the signal "Lock actuated" of right sliding door ZV rotary tumbler switch (M14/27s1).
- STR control unit transmits the signal to the right sliding door drive (M73/1) to move the E-LST in the "E-LST open" position.

The anti-pinch protection is active over the entire opening path.

Closing E-LST
Function requirements:
- Authentic transmitter key recognized
- Transmitter key outside of vehicle (approx. 0.5 m).

Closing sequence:
- STR control unit or STL control unit (N69/7) transmit the signal to right sliding door drive or left sliding door drive to move the E-LST in the "E-LST closed" position.
- The E-LST lock transmits the signal "Door closed" of the right sliding door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/27s1) or left sliding door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/28s1) to the STR control unit or STL control unit.
- Vehicle changes from "Globally unlocked" to "Globally locked" status.

The anti-pinch protection is activated up to the pre-locking position.
