Location

The left vent window motor and right vent window motor are located on the D-pillars next to the rear side windows.

Design

The vent window motors are DC motors which turn to the right or left, depending on the actuation. Each vent window motor is equipped with a temperature protection switch to protect against overload and 2 Hall sensors each for position recognition.

Function

The corresponding vent window can be opened or closed using the left vent window motor and right vent window motor via the left vent window button (S47s3) and right vent window button (S47s4) in the driver door control panel (S47). Circuit 30 is switched through directly to the motor by the corresponding switch for actuation of the motors.
