M12/1 Rear tilting/sliding roof
M12/1m1 Rear tilting/sliding roof motor

Location

The rear tilting/sliding roof motor is located on the rear tilting/sliding roof in the roof of the interior compartment (model 906.7) or in the roof of the load compartment (model 906.6).

Task

The rear tilting/sliding roof motor is responsible for the drive of the rear tilting/sliding roof.

Design

The rear tilting/sliding roof motor consists of a DC motor with integrated rear tilting/sliding roof Hall sensor (M12/1b1), rear tilting/ sliding roof Hall sensor (M12/1b2) and thermal protection switch.

Function

The direction of rotation of the rear tilting/sliding roof motor in the rear tilting/sliding roof is defined by the polarity of the actuation voltage of the DBE control unit (N70)

The actuation voltage polarity is controlled by a twin-coil relay (center-zero relay with park position).

The direction of rotation and lock-up recognition of the rear tilting/ sliding roof motor are recognized by the rear tilting/sliding roof Hall sensors.

A thermal protection switch is integrated into the rear tilting/sliding roof motor to protect against overload.
