Pliers








1 Remove clutch body (1), friction ring (2), cone ring (3) and synchronizer ring (4).
2 Remove retaining ring (7) using pliers.
3 Remove sliding sleeve (5), thrust piece (8) and blocking pieces (6).





4 Press out 3rd gear idler gear (14) along with synchronizer body (9).

5 Remove synchronizer body (9), synchronizer ring (10) and cone ring (11).
6 Remove friction ring (12) and the clutch body (13) from 3rd gear idler gear (14).





7 Remove 3rd gear needle roller bearing (15).
8 Remove the outer bearing race (16) and the split roller bearing intermediate plate (17).

Only on transmission 711.685





9 Press off 1st gear idler gear (33) along with the reverse gear idler gear (37) and the synchronizer body (39).

10 Remove sliding sleeve (41) and thrust pieces (40).
11 Remove synchronizer body (38), synchronizer ring (39) and reverse gear idler gear (37).
12 Remove reverse gear needle roller bearing (36), bearing sleeve (35) and thrust plate (34) from 1st gear idler gear (33).








13 Remove 1st gear needle roller bearing (32).
14 Press off 2nd gear idler gear (21) along with synchronizer body (25) and bearing sleeve (31).

15 Remove bearing sleeve (31) and friction ring (30).
16 Remove cone ring (29) and synchronizer ring (28).
17 Remove sliding sleeve (27) and thrust pieces (26).
18 Remove synchronizer body (25), synchronizer ring (24), cone ring (23) and friction ring (22) from 2nd gear idler gear (21).





19 Remove 2nd gear needle roller bearing (20).
20 Press off shim (19).
