1 Put together externally toothed plates (2, 4) and internally toothed plates (3) in the sequence shown and insert individually.

A different number of externally toothed plates (4) and internally toothed plates (3) are fitted depending on the transmission version.

Place new externally toothed plates and internally toothed plates in ATF oil 1 h before installation.

Design of multidisk brake

1 Circlip
2 External plate (6.5 mm)
3 Internally toothed plates
4 External plates (1.8 mm)
5 Disk spring
6 Piston B3 (external plate carrier B2)

L Toothed plate play

2 Install circlip (1).

Both ends of the circlip (1) must be seated on a toothing wedge.





3 Place transmission housing with the outward side downwards.
4 Pull up clutch pack with both hands on the inside and allow to fall down.

To measure the toothed plate play (L) the circlip (1) must abut with the upper contact surface of the groove.

5 Using a feeler gauge, check the toothed plate play (L) at three points between the circlip (1) and externally toothed plate (2).

If necessary, adjust the toothed plate play (L) by installing a circlip (1) of corresponding thickness.
