GF27.60-D-5161H R/P-Lockout, Component Description

GF27.60-D-5161H R/P-lockout, Component Description
- TRANSMISSION 722.6

85 R/P lock

N15/5 EWM control unit

Location

The R/P-lockout is integrated in the ESM [EWM] control unit.

Task

Depending on the position, the R/P-lockout prevents a shift out of the selector lever position "P" or a switchover from selector lever position "N" into selector lever position "R".

Design

The R/P lock consists of:
^ The locking lever
^ The reversing and parking lock locking solenoid (Y66/1)
^ The rocker
^ The rocker leaf spring
^ The rocker arm
^ The rocker arm leaf spring

R lock, function

Above a vehicle speed of approx. 8 km/h the reversing and parking lock locking solenoid is actuated by the ESM [EWM] control unit. The rocker arm presses on the rocker which is twisted into the locking position.

The locking lever abuts the rocker and the selector lever cannot be moved into selector lever position "R".

P lock, function

The selector lever position "P" is locked if the reversing and parking lock locking solenoid is not actuated by the ESM [EWM] control unit.

The prerequisites for this are as follows:
^ No voltage supply to the ESM [EWM] control unit
^ Brake pedal not depressed

Under these conditions the rocker is held in front of the locking lever by the spring force of the leaf spring. The selector lever cannot be shifted away from position "P". With "terminal 15 ON" and when the brake pedal is depressed the reversing and parking lock locking solenoid is actuated. The rocker arm presses on the rocker, the selector lever can be moved out of selector lever position "P".
