GF27.51-D-2010H Multidisk Clutch, Component Description
GF27.51-D-2010H Multidisk Clutch, Component Description
- TRANSMISSION 722.6
9 Externally toothed plate
10 Internally toothed plate
24 Multidisk clutch K1
25 Multidisk clutch K2
26 Multidisk clutch K3
Location
In the transmission housing 3 multidisk clutches are located as multidisk clutch K1, multidisk clutch K2 and multidisk clutch K3 for the planetary gear sets.
Task
For transmitting the drive torque the multidisk clutches produce a frictional connection between two components of a planetary gear set or between one component from 2 planetary gear sets.
Design
A multidisk clutch consists of several internally toothed plates on an internal plate carrier and externally toothed plates on an external plate carrier.

Function
Multidisk clutch K1
If at the multidisk clutch oil pressure is applied to K1 the piston K1, then this presses the internally and externally toothed plates K1 of the clutch pack together
The front sun gear is connected to the planet carrier via the external plate carrier K1 and the internal plate carrier K1. Thus the front planetary gear set is locked and turns as a closed unit.
Multi-disk clutch K2
If the multidisk clutch K2 is engaged via the piston K2, then this presses the clutch pack together. Via the external plate carrier K2 and the center planet carrier, on which the internally toothed plates are seated, the front ring gear of the front planetary gear set are connected to the center ring gear of the center planetary gear set. The front ring gear and center ring gear move at the same rotational speed as the input shaft.
Multi-disk clutch K3
If the multidisk clutch K3 is engaged via the piston K3, then this presses the clutch pack together. The center sun gear of the center planetary gear set is connected to the rear sun gear of the rear planetary gear set via the external plate carrier K3 and internal plate carrier K3. The center sun gear and the rear sun gear move at the same speed.
