Location

The air suspension compressor unit is located on the left underside of the vehicle, level with the rear axle.

Location

The level control compressor is located in the center of the vehicle's low frame level with the rear axle.

Task

The level control compressor provides the compressed air supply for the electronic level control (ELC [ENR]) system.

Design

The level control compressor consists of the air compressor motor, the air compressor pressure relief valve, the intake filter, the drier and the check valve.

Function

Air is aspirated into the level control compressor, where it is compressed, dried and made available to the electronic level control system as compressed air.
