Location

The driver door control panel is located on the driver door.

Task

The driver power window button, front passenger power window button in the driver door control panel transmit the desired adjustment request to the driver door control unit (N69/1) for actuating the left front side window and to the SAM control unit (N10) for the actuation of the right front side window, which relays this information via the controller area network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B)

Design

The driver power window button and front passenger power window button in the driver door control panel are designed as button with 4 switching positions and one park position.

Function

The switch positions of the driver power window button and front passenger power window button in the driver door control panel are voltage-coded via resistances. The coded voltage from the driver power window button is read in by the driver door control unit, the coded voltage from the front passenger power window button by the SAM control unit

Mechanical switch positions for driver power window button and front passenger power window button:
- Press stage 1 (manual opening)
- Press stage 2 (automatic opening)
- No actuation (park position)
- Pull stage 1 (manual closing)
- Pull to stage 2 (automatic closing) (except code (ZU7) National version for Canada and except code (ZU8) National version for USA)
