Location

The yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor is accommodated in the seat frame under the driver seat.

Task

The yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor measures the yaw rate about the vertical axis, the lateral acceleration and the longitudinal acceleration. The measured values are transmitted directly by the yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor via the Controller Area Network bus Class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C) to the ESP control unit (N30/4).
