Location
The end position sensor for intake port shutoff on the left is located on the left linkage of the intake port shutoff.
The end position sensor for intake port shutoff on the right is located on the right linkage of the intake port shutoff.
Task
The end position sensors for intake port shutoff contactlessly detect the respective linkage position.
Function
The end position sensors for intake port shutoff are supplied by the CDI control unit (N3/30) with a voltage. The installed permanent magnet generates a magnetic field in the Hall sensor in the respective end position sensor for intake port shutoff.
The magnetic field is periodically interrupted through change in the linkage position. A magnetic field generates a voltage signal in the electronic circuit built into the Hall sensor for each end position sensor for intake port shutoff. The electronics convert this signal into a square wave signal which is forwarded to the CDI control unit.
