In the event of air pressure changes by the driver, in the event of a wheel replacement or a tire change, new air pressure values in the TPM [RDK] control unit (N88/1) are detected automatically by filling detection. The manual reactivation is only intended as a stopgap solution, when the automatic filling detection fails (except code (ZU7) Canada national version, except code (ZU8) USA national version, except code (ZU9) Mexico national version).

Always conduct manual reactivation for vehicles with code (ZU7) Canada national version, code (ZU8) USA national version or code (ZU9) Mexico national version for air pressure changes by the driver, for a wheel change or tire replacement.

Sequence of tire pressure monitoring (TPM) activation

The following procedure must be followed for activation:
^ Correct air pressure at each wheel.
^ Switch on ignition ("circuit 15 ON").
^ Use the scroll forward/back button to select the tire pressure monitor system in the display (A1p1) in the instrument cluster (A1).
^ The message "Tire pressure display" appears in display after vehicle has been driven for a few minutes.
^ Pressing the Reset (A1s2) button on the instrument cluster causes the Monitor tire pressure message to appear in the display.
^ Pressing the + and ? button reactivates the tire pressure monitor.
