Description using example of engine 646

1 Using hand pump suction off steering gear oil from expansion reservoir (arrow).
2 Disconnect hydraulic lines (2, 3) on the cooling pipe (1).

Catch steering gear oil running out.

Seal openings with suitable stop plug.

3 Connect in reverse order.
