Complaint:
Headlamps fogged, condensation forms.

Cause:
The following causes may apply and require different repair methods:

a) When the headlamp cools down (1), e.g. after switching off, in rain or when washing, the air is drawn in and the moisture condenses on the headlamp lens.

Note:
Fogging of the headlamp lens from inside is caused by physical reasons and does not represent any damage.

b) Plugs (2) on the back of the headlamp (1) are not inserted correctly.

Remedy:

Note:
Warranty claims will be rejected provided that no leakages due to defective parts are proven.

Carry out remedies as per the cause:

a) Venting of the headlamp (1) ensures the existing fogging disperses again after some time in operation.

b) Insert plug correctly; for this purpose:

1. Remove plug (2) on the back of the headlamp (1).

2. Remove moisture from the headlamp housing.

Note:
Switch on high beam, front fog light and the flasher when the charger is connected until the moisture in the headlamp housing has disappeared.

3. Install plug (2) on the back of the headlamp (1).

Note:
For this purpose insert the lower retaining lugs (arrows) of the plug (2) correctly and then press on the upper retaining lugs (arrows) until clicking in place is audible.
