S9/1 Stop lamp switch (4-pin)

Location

The stop lamp switch is located in the left of the driver footwell next to the steering column in the area of the brake pedal.

Task

The stop lamp switch conveys the signal about the operation of the brake pedal to the ESP control unit (N30/4).

Function

There are two methods of functioning of the stop lamp switch:

^ Function as normally open contact for the stop lamp
^ Function as normally closed contact for the ESP control unit
