GF82.10-D-3007H Rear Fog Lamp Actuation, Function

GF82.10-D-3007H Rear Fog Lamp Actuation, Function

Function sequence
Function requirements:
- C. 30 ON
- No undervoltage or overvoltage

The rotary light switch (S1) is set to the "Standing lamp" or "Low beam" position.
In vehicles except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps, either the standing lamp (E1e3) in the left lamp unit (E1) and the standing lamp (E2e3) in the right lamp unit (E2) or the low beam (E1e2) in the left lamp unit and the low beam (E2e2) in the right lamp unit are switched on.

In vehicles with code (LG1) Xenon headlamps, either the standing lamp (E1/6e3) in the left XENON lamp unit (E1/6) and the standing lamp (E2/6e3) in the right XENON lamp unit (E2/6) or the low beam (E1/6e2) in the left XENON lamp unit via the xenon control unit (E1/6n1) and the low beam (E2/6e2) in the right XENON lamp unit via the xenon control unit (E2/6n1) are switched on.

Apart from this, the taillamp (E3/6e2) of the left taillamp (E3/6) or the taillamp (E4/6e2) of the right taillamp (E4/6), the left license plate lamp (E19/1) and the right license plate lamp (E19/2) are switched on.
The rotary light switch is pulled out to the 2nd detent position "Rear fog lamps ON". The SAM control unit (N10) records not only the "Standing lamp" or "Low beam" position of the rotary light switch, but also the "Front fog lamp ON" signal and the "Rear fog lamp ON" signal.
In vehicles except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps, the SAM control unit actuates the front fog lamp (E1e4) in the left lamp unit, the front fog lamp (E2e4) in the right lamp unit and the rear fog lamp (E3/6e5) in the left taillamp.
In vehicles except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps and with code (L16) Halogen front fog lamps, the SAM control unit actuates the front fog lamp in the left lamp unit, the front fog lamp in the right lamp unit, the left front fog lamp (E5/1), the right front fog lamp (E5/2) and the rear fog lamp in the left taillamp.

In vehicles with code (LG1) Xenon headlamps and with code (L16) Halogen front fog lamps, the SAM control unit actuates the left front fog lamp, the right front fog lamp and the rear fog lamp in the left taillamp.
In vehicles with the equipment variants listed below, the SAM control unit actuates the left rear fog lamp (E45/1) or the right rear fog lamp (E45/2):
- Code (RH9) Tires 285/65 R16 Super Single
- Code (ZG1) Engageable all-wheel drive
- Code (ZG2) Permanent all-wheel drive
- Code (ZG3) AWD gear reduction
- Code (ZG4) Permanent all-wheel drive with gear reduction

The green front fog lamp indicator lamp as well as the yellow rear fog lamp indicator lamp in the light switch module visually indicate the switched-on front fog lamps and the switched-on rear fog lamp.

At the same time, in vehicles with code (E43) Trailer hitch socket, the signals for actuating the above-listed lamps are forwarded over the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1).

Trailer operation
If, in vehicles with code (E43) Trailer hitch socket, the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1) recognizes via the trailer socket (13-pin) (X58) that a trailer is connected, then the actuation of the following lamps is interrupted and the corresponding rear fog lamp on the trailer is actuated:
- Rear fog lamp in left taillamp
- Left rear fog lamp or right rear fog lamp, with code (RH9) Tires 285/65 R16 Super Single, with code (ZG1) Engageable all-wheel drive, with code (ZG2) Permanent all-wheel drive, with code (ZG3) Gear reduction for all-wheel drive or with code (ZG4) Permanent all-wheel drive with gear reduction
