The left taillamp is mounted in the rear end on the left of the vehicle.
The right taillamp is mounted in the rear end on the right of the vehicle.

Task
- Illumination of the surroundings behind the vehicle during backup
- Indicating the direction of travel and hazard warning flashing
- Indicating the position of the vehicles during driving and while stopped
- Indicating brake application

In vehicles with one of the following codes, the rear fog lamp is located in the bumper as a left rear fog lamp (E45/1) or right rear fog lamp (E45/2):
