GF82.10-D-2012HB Locator Lighting Function
- with CODE (JA5) Light/rain sensor
- with CODE (L16) Halogen front fog lamps
The locator lighting (AFB) function is used to make it easier to locate the vehicle in a poorly lit environment.
Function requirements:
- Vehicle is locked
- C. 30 ON
- "Night" message from the rain/light sensor (B38/2) is present
Function
When the vehicle is unlocked globally (all doors) with the aid of the transmitter key (A8/1), the AFB function is switched on for 40 s unless an abort condition is present.
The AFB activates the following lamps, in vehicles with code (LG1) Xenon headlamps:
- Standing lamp (E1/6e3)
- Standing lamp (E2/6e3)
- Left fog lamp (E5/1)
- Right fog lamp (E5/2)
The AFB activates the following lamps, in vehicles except code (LG1) Xenon headlamps:
- Standing lamp (E1e3)
- Standing lamp (E2e3)
- Left fog lamp (E5/1)
- Right fog lamp (E5/2)
Abort conditions:
- Driver door is opened
- Vehicle is locked again with the transmitter key
- the vehicle has locked itself again automatically
