GF82.10-D-2008H Light Warning, Function
Light warning function sequence for manually switched on standing or driving lights
The following function requirements must be met:
- The transmitter key (A8/1) is located in the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73).
- The rotary light switch (S1) is set to the "Standing lights" or "Driving lights" position.
- The instrument cluster (A1) receives the "left front door closed" signal of the driver door CL [ZV] rotary tumbler switch (M14/6s1) over the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B).
If the transmitter key is then removed from the EIS [EZS] control unit and the left front door is opened, the SAM control unit (N10) sends the "left front door open" signal of the driver door CL [ZV] rotary tumbler switch to the instrument cluster.
The instrument cluster recognizes the changed signal situation and actuates, because the "standing lights ON" signal from the SAM control unit is still pending, the acoustic light warning by the warning buzzer (A1h1) in the instrument cluster.
The light warning function sequence for standing lights or driving lights after automatic (sensor-controlled) actuation of driving lights
The following function requirements must be met:
- "Tml. 61 OFF"
- Transmitter key is located in the EIS [EZS] control unit and in "0" position
- Rotary light switch set to "AUTO" position
- The "standing lights ON" or "driving lights ON, "Tml. 15C ON" and "Left front door closed" signals are applied via the CAN-B at the instrument cluster
If the left front door is then opened, the SAM control unit sends the "left front door open" signal of the driver door CL [ZV] rotary tumbler switch to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster recognizes the changed signal situation and actuates, because the "standing lights ON" or "driving lights ON" signal from the SAM control unit and "terminal 15C ON" from the EIS [EZS] control unit are still pending, the acoustic light warning by the warning buzzer in the instrument cluster.
