GF82.10-D-1001HA Headlamp Range Adjustment (HRA) Headlamp Function

GF82.10-D-1001HA Headlamp Range Adjustment (HRA) Headlamp Function

- with CODE (LG1) Xenon headlamps
- except CODE (CE2) Rear air suspension

General
The automatic headlamp range adjustment (LWR) is installed as standard passive safety equipment in vehicles fitted with xenon headlamps to prevent them dazzling oncoming traffic.
The automatic LWR serves to keep the incline angle of the driving lights within the legally prescribed limits based on changes in vehicle level, regardless of whether they are caused by a load or the rolling motion during acceleration or deceleration.

Function
"Terminal 61 ON" is a function requirement for the automatic LWR of the headlamps.
The LWR control unit (N71) reads in the LWR rear axle sensor (A51) and the LWR front axle sensor (A52) directly. Using the input signals, the LWR control unit determines changes in the vehicle level and adjusts the incline angle of the driving lights accordingly via the headlamp range adjustment motor (E1/6m1) integrated into the left XENON lamp unit (E1/6) and the headlamp range adjustment motor (E2/6m1) integrated into the right XENON lamp unit (E2/6).
