GF40.15-D-0001-03HL Tire Pressure Monitor (RDK), Displaying Tire Inflation Pressure
In the Tire pressure monitor (TPM) version, except code (JK3) High- end instrument cluster with speedometer with Km scale, any irregularities in the tire pressure monitor system are indicated by the tire pressure monitor indicator lamp (A1e29) during the journey. The TPM system can assign the wheel sensors (left front TPM RDK] wheel sensor (A69/1); right front TPM [RDK] wheel sensor A69/2); right rear TPM [RDK] wheel sensor (A69/3); left rear TPM [RDK] wheel sensor (A69/4)) to their individual positions.
If changes in the wheel assignment ensue (e.g. due to wheel changing), a localization learning process sets in, which has detected the new status after driving for approx. 10 to minutes. During this localization process the "CAL TPMS" message is shown on the display (A1p1).
This process is only active during a journey, in order to ensure that any signals from external vehicles are not incorrectly assigned. An appropriate system message appears if the pressure values are queried during this time.
