Warning indicator in liters when the engine oil level is too low, with engine 642, with engine 646 or with engine 651

This display is shown on the display (A1p1) of the instrument cluster (A1) if an engine oil level in the engine that is too low has been detected by one of the following components:
- Engine oil sensor (B40), with engine 642
- Engine oil sensor (B40/5), with engine 646
- Engine oil level sensor (B40/6), with engine 651


The message may also appear with the instruction "Top up engine oil 1.5 l." or "Top up engine oil 2.0 l.".







Warning indicator, if the engine oil level has dropped below minimum

This is shown on the instrument cluster display if an engine oil level in the engine that is below the minimum has been detected by one of the following components:
- Oil level switch (S43/3), with engine 271
- Oil level switch (S43), with engine 272
- Engine oil sensor, with engine 642
- Engine oil sensor, with engine 646
- Engine oil level sensor, with engine 651







Warning indicator for a defective engine oil sensor or engine oil level sensor, with engine 642, with engine 646 or with engine 651

This is shown on the instrument cluster display if one of the following components has been identified as defective by the corresponding engine control unit:
- Engine oil sensor via CDI control unit (N3/20), with engine 642
- Engine oil sensor via CDI control unit (N3/21), with engine 646
- Engine oil level sensor via CDI control unit (N3/28), with engine 651
