The trip computer (RRE) is integrated in the instrument cluster (A1).
Displays are shown on the multifunction display in instrument cluster.
The following 2 data memories can be accessed:
- Short-distance memory (since start)
- Long-distance memory (since reset)

The contents of the short-distance memory are displayed in the "Since start" screen on the multifunction display in the instrument cluster. The contents of the long-distance memory are displayed in the "Since reset" screen on the multifunction display in the instrument cluster. The transmitter key must be turned to position 2 (circuit 15 ON) for the trip computer to be operational.

The following functions are provided by the trip computer:
- Display and calculate the estimated travel range
- Display and calculate the average fuel consumption
- Display the distance traveled
- Display the travel time

The data on the average fuel consumption, the travel time and the travel distance are stored separately in the short distance memory and long distance memory. The estimated travel range is shown on another screen on the multifunction display in the instrument cluster. After leaving the trip computer system, the trip computer system screen last displayed will appear on the multifunction display in the instrument cluster the next time the trip computer system is called up.

Operation
The trip computer system is operated using the system selection button (S111s3) and scroll forward/back button (S111s1) on the multifunction steering wheel (MFL) and also using the reset button (A1s2) in the instrument cluster.

The instrument cluster receives the information required for the functions of the trip computer system via the Controller Area Network bus class C (engine compartment) (CAN-C)
