GF54.30-D-2012HH Display Monitoring/Warning Messages Via Multifunction Display, Function

- with CODE (JK3) High-end instrument cluster with speedometer in km

In the event of malfunctions, warning messages are shown on the display (A1p1) of the instrument cluster (A1). These warning messages are divided up into 3 categories and stored in 3 fault rolls (U-, W- and N-roll).

Category 1
Warning messages with the highest priority.
These warning messages cannot be acknowledged. When they occur, a short warning tone is given via the warning buzzer (A1h1) and the fault is shown in the upper display. Any category 2 and 3 warning messages are hidden.

Category 2
Warning messages with medium priority.
These warning messages can be acknowledged. When they occur, a short warning tone is given via the warning buzzer and the fault is shown on the display. Any category 3 warning messages are cross-faded.

Category 3
Warning message with the lowest priority.
These warning messages can be acknowledged. There is no warning tone.

U roll
This is the list of all unacknowledged warning messages shown on the display. Displays of the same of a higher priority are displayed once the minimum display time of the preceding message has elapsed. When the minimum display time for the warning with the lowest secondary priority has elapsed, the fault roll begins again with the warnings with the highest main priority (ring memory).

W roll
This is where all the acknowledged errors that occurred while driving are entered. The W roll can be called up in the menu tree on the display at any time. When the fault roll is called up, a start screen with the number of faults occurring is displayed first of all, and then the faults are displayed in the sequence of their main priority.

N roll
After disconnecting terminal 15R, all messages entered in the error roll are automatically called up in the N roll in secondary priority sequence. The number of errors entered in shown in the start screen. The warning buzzer sounds briefly when the start screen is displayed. The displayed messages must be acknowledged. The N roll stops when all the warnings have been acknowledged. If no messages are recorded or all of the recorded messages have been acknowledged, the display is switched off after 30 s. If there are still unacknowledged messages present, the shutoff occurs after 2 minutes. If the N-roll is interrupted by a higher-priority message, it begins again from the start screen.

Many messages are accompanied by a supplementary warning or indicator lamp which lights up in response to a signal from the system. These lamps remain lit until the fault is rectified.
This applies even if the corresponding message was acknowledged.

Acknowledging messages
Warning and fault messages can be acknowledged automatically or manually. If the cause of an automatically acknowledgeable message no longer exists, the warning is shown on the display for the duration of its minimum display time. In the case of faults which also require actuation of an indicator lamp, the lamp lights up at the same time as the warning is shown on the display. The lamp remains lit for as long as the fault exists, regardless of whether the fault display on the display has already been acknowledged.

Manually acknowledgeable warning and fault messages can be acknowledged by pressing one of the following buttons:
- Reset button (A1s2) in instrument cluster
- System select button (S111s3)
- Scroll forward/back button (S111s1)

Reminder of acknowledged messages
If messages have been acknowledged while driving, these are displayed again as a reminder when "circuit 15R is ON". Current messages hide this reminder function. If there were no messages, the standard display appears after "circuit 15R ON".

Display stored error messages
When the instrument cluster is activated, the stored messages can be displayed in the menu "Fault and warning messages".
