GF83.20-D-4010H Coolant Circulation Pump Component Description
GF83.20-D-4010H Coolant Circulation Pump Component Description
- with CODE (HH9) "Tempmatic" regulated air conditioning
- with CODE (H12) Auxiliary heater (warm water)
- with CODE (HZ9) Heater booster, diesel
- with CODE (HZ5) 10 kW warm water auxiliary heater with timer
- with CODE (H13) Additional heat exchanger in cargo area
On vehicles with code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic), the circulation pump (M13/4) for the engine residual heat utilization function is installed up to August 31, 2008. As of September 1, 2008, the circulation pump is only available if one of the following special equipment packages is also installed:
- Code (HZ5) 10 kW auxiliary water heater with timer
- Code (HZ9) Heater booster, diesel
- Code (H12) Auxiliary heater (warm water)
- Code (H13) Additional heat exchanger in cargo area
Location
M13/4 Circulation pump
The circulation pump is located in the engine compartment between the firewall and the engine below the air filter box.
Task
The circulation pump alone assures circulation in the coolant circuit when the engine is off; when the engine is running, it is supported by the water pump.
The circulation pump is actuated via the following components:
- KLA control and operating unit (S98), with code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic)
- Warm water auxiliary heater control unit (N33/3), with code (H12) Auxiliary heater (warm water) or with code (HZ5) 10 kW auxiliary water heater with timer and except code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic)
- 2nd warm water auxiliary heater control unit (N33/2), with code (HZ9) Heater booster, diesel or with code (HZ5) 10 kW auxiliary water heater with timer and except code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning (Tempmatic)
