M16/21 Fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor

Location
The fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor is located at the left side on the front blower box, which is in the right front passenger footwell, below the glove compartment.

Task
The fresh air/air recirculation flap actuator motor moves the fresh air and air recirculation flap depending on how it is actuated by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (S98). This in turn opens (fresh air) or closes (recirculated air) the fresh air supply to the front heater or air conditioner housing.
