AN83.70-D-0001-13S Retrofit Stationary Heater Bracket












1 Place bracket (1) onto left longitudinal frame member and mark installation location of bracket (1).
Use bracket (1) with two threaded pins. The lower angle piece must make contact with the left longitudinal frame member and the distance (A) between crossmember and bracket (1) must be 43.5 cm.

2 Remove bracket (1).
3 Remove underfloor protection and paint in area of marked surface of bracket (1) from longitudinal frame member.
4 Place bracket (1) onto left longitudinal frame member again and mark installation location of bracket (1).
The lower angle piece must make contact with the left longitudinal frame member and the distance (A) between crossmember and bracket (1) must be 43.5 cm.

















7 Install bracket (3) on stationary heater bracket (2) as shown with the elongated hole facing downward.
8 Position stationary heater bracket (2) on bracket (1), align bracket (3) with left longitudinal frame member and mark installation location of bracket (3).
9 Remove stationary heater bracket (2) with bracket (3) from bracket (1).
10 Remove underfloor protection and paint in area of marked surface of bracket (3) from longitudinal frame member.
11 Install stationary heater bracket (2) on bracket (1) and mark installation location of bracket (3).
Bracket (3) must make contact with left longitudinal frame member.

12 Remove stationary heater bracket (2) from bracket (1) and remove bracket (3).












15 Prime repair area on brackets (1 and 3) with primer filler.
Use only paint materials and paint systems approved by Daimler AG.

16 Seal seams on brackets (1 and 3) with 310 ml white sealant.
17 Paint repair area in vehicle color.
Use only paint materials and paint systems approved by Daimler AG.
