When operating the hand brake lever of the parking brake, a braking effect must be discernible after 3 to 4 notches.

With models with a permissible gross vehicle weight of less than or equal to 3.5 t, the deviation must not exceed 50 %, based on the highest value.

With models with a permissible gross vehicle weight of more than 3.5 t, the deviation must not exceed 30 %, based on the highest value.

With the spring-loaded parking brake, the parking brake valve must be actuated in small steps.

If the test results differ from the test specifications given in the operation text, the cause must be established and eliminated as a separate repair order.
