GF91.30-D-2001H Switch Off Seat Heater, Function
- with CODE (H15) Heater for front passenger seat
- with CODE (H16) Heater for driver seat
Function requirements:
- Circuit 15R ON
- Heated seats (HS [SIH]) system is activated
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Heating stage 1 of the heated seats is deactivated by pressing the left heated seat button (N72/1s2) or right heated seat button (N72/1s10) upwards again. This is indicated by the activated light emitting diodes (LEDs) in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button going off.
Heating stage 2 of the heated seats is deactivated by pressing the left heated seat button or right heated seat button downwards again. This is indicated by the 2 LEDs in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button going off.
The OBF control unit (N72/1) reads in the signals of the left heated seat button or right heated seat button and interrupts the power output, i.e. the circuit which heats the filament, to the following heating elements:
- Driver seat heated cushion (R13/1)
- Driver seat backrest heated cushion (R13/2)
- Front passenger seat heated cushion (R13/3)
- Front passenger seat backrest heated cushion (R13/4)
Heating stage 2 of the heated seats is automatically switched over to stage 1 after approximately t = 5 min.
Automatic deactivation of the heated seats following cancellation of a starting procedure
Function prerequisites:
- Circuit 15R OFF
- Circuit 15C ON
The OBF control unit interrupts the power output to the following heating elements; this is indicated by the activated LED in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button going off:
- Driver seat heated cushion
- Driver seat backrest heated cushion
- Front passenger seat heated cushion
- Front passenger seat backrest heated cushion
The time interval for heating stage 2 of the heated seats is stopped. If the status "circuit 15R ON" is activated again within a time period of t = 30 s, the heated seats are reactivated in the previously activated heating stage without pressing the left heated seat button or right heated seat button again.
If the status "circuit 15C OFF" is activated, the heated seats are deactivated.
Automatic deactivation of heated seats during starting procedure
Function requirements:
- C. 15X OFF
The OBF control unit interrupts the power output to the following heating elements (the LEDs in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button remain illuminated):
- Driver seat heated cushion
- Driver seat backrest heated cushion
- Front passenger seat heated cushion
- Front passenger seat backrest heated cushion
If the OBF control unit detects the status "circuit 15X ON" again, the heated seats are reactivated in the previously activated heating stage after a 2 s delay.
Automatic deactivation of the heated seats in irregular idling
Function prerequisites:
- Terminal 61 ON
- "Idling irregular" signal
The OBF control unit interrupts the power output to the following heating elements (the LEDs in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button remain illuminated):
- Driver seat heated cushion
- Driver seat backrest heated cushion
- Front passenger seat heated cushion
- Front passenger seat backrest heated cushion
Once the OBF control unit detects the "Idling regular" signal, the heated seats are reactivated in the previously activated heating stage.
Automatic switching off with battery voltage ≤ 11 V Function prerequisites:
- Circuit 15R ON
- Heated seats activated
- Undervoltage ( ≤ 11 V) present for longer than t = 3 s
The OBF control unit interrupts the power output to the following heating elements; this is indicated by the activated LEDs in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button flashing:
- Driver seat heated cushion
- Driver seat backrest heated cushion
- Front passenger seat heated cushion
- Front passenger seat backrest heated cushion
If the undervoltage (≤ 11 V) is present for longer than t = 30 s, a fault is stored in the OBF control unit.
The heated seats are deactivated immediately if there is overvoltage ( ≥ 15 V) for more than t = 3 s. The LEDs in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button go off.
