GF77.20-D-2001H Convenience Closing Of Tilting/Sliding Roof, Function

- with CODE (D27) Power glass tilting/sliding roof

Function requirements:
- Circuit 15C OFF
- All doors closed, status "Locked"
- Press and hold down "Lock" button on transmitter key for longer than t = 1 s
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Overvoltage is present when voltage > 16.5 V. Undervoltage is present when voltage < 9 V.

On vehicles with code (FZ8) Convenience opening/closing with IR remote control, the DBE control unit (N70) receives the message "KB_SDV (close front tilting/sliding roof (M12))" via the Controller Area Network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN B) and then actuates the front tilting/sliding roof motor (M12m1).

The front tilting/sliding roof motor is actuated in the direction of rotation "Close front tilting/sliding roof" as long as the "Lock" button on the transmitter key is pressed for t > 1 s and held down The "Convenience closing" function of the front tilting/sliding roof is accomplished for no longer than t = 25 s.

The "Convenience closing" function of the front tilting/sliding roof is interrupted under the following conditions:
- The DBE control unit does no longer receive the message "KB_SDV (close front tilting/sliding roof )" via the CAN B bus.
- The front tilting/sliding roof reaches the closed position.
- The function prerequisites are no longer fulfilled

The "Convenience feature" can only be activated from the immediate vicinity via the infrared remote control on the transmitter key.

The sliding roof is in the closed position at the front stop and in the end position at the rear stop. In the closed position, the tilting roof is located at the front stop, in the tilting position (ventilation position) it is located at a defined position between the front and rear stops. The front tilting/sliding roof is equipped with an excess force limiter and an obstruction sensor unit.

Also the side windows in the driver and passenger door, as well as the electric vent windows in rear, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment are closed.

Lock-up

If lock-up is recognized, the front tilting/sliding roof reverses directions, e.g. the front tilting/sliding roof motor is actuated in the opposite direction and is deactivated after t = 160 ms.

Obstruction

If obstruction is recognized by the excess force limiter, the front tilting/sliding roof reverses directions, e.g. the front tilting/sliding roof motor is actuated in the opposite direction and is deactivated after t = 160 ms.

Emergency operation

If the event of emergency operation of the front tilting/sliding roof, the position is not stored.It is then necessary to "normalize" the front tilting/sliding roof.
