GF80.20-D-4012H Relocking, Function
The relocking function prevents the vehicle from remaining unlocked, when the transmitter key (A8/1) has been actuated erroneously.
After the vehicle has been unlocked with the transmitter key, a waiting time of 40 s starts. After expiration of this waiting time, the vehicle is locked again "globally".
The waiting time is interrupted when:
- A door is opened.
- the "Emergency opening" function is triggered.
- The interior central locking button (N72/1s7) in the upper control panel (N72/1) is actuated.
- the transmitter key is inserted into the EIS control unit (N73).
These functions are actuated by the EIS control unit.
If the "unlock" transmit button on the transmitter key is actuated again before expiration of the waiting time, the waiting time is reset and starts again.
The relocking function also activates the anti-theft alarm system (ATA), with code (FY1) ATA 2 with interior protection, tow-away protection and battery-operated horn or with code (FZ4) Antitheft alarm system with interior protection and tow-away protection or with code (FZ5) anti-theft alarm system (ATA)..
