GF80.20-D-2002H Operating Central Locking With Transmitter Key, Function








Illustrated with 3 buttons (model 906.6/7), with code (T55) Electrical actuation for right sliding door or with code (T56) Electrical actuation for left sliding door

Preadjustment "selective" or "global" on vehicles except code (ZU7) National version for Canada or except code (ZU8) National version for USA
By simultaneously pressing the following transmitter buttons for longer than 5 s, it is possible to set the function of the transmitter key (A8/1) from "global" to "selective (and vice versa):
- "Lock" transmitter button
- "Unlock" transmitter button

The battery and function indicator lamp flashes twice to confirm the modified setting ("global" or "selective").
The following functions are possible with the "global" setting:
- All doors are locked by pressing the "Lock" transmitter button once.
- All doors are unlocked by pressing the "Unlock" transmitter button once.

The following functions are possible with the "selective" setting:
- All doors are locked by pressing the "Lock" transmitter button once.
- Only the driver door or the driver and front passenger door (parameterizable) are unlocked by pressing the "Unlock" transmitter key once.
- All doors are unlocked by pressing twice the "Unlock" transmitter button.

On vehicles with code (ZU7) National version for Canada or with code (ZU8) National version for USA the transmitter key has the following functions:
- All doors are locked by pressing the "Lock" transmitter button once.
- By pressing the "Unlock" transmitter button, only the drive door is unlocked.
- All doors are unlocked by pressing twice the "Unlock" transmitter button.

Comfort opening with infrared (IR) remote control, with code (FZ8) Comfort opening/closing with IR remote control
The following function requirements must be met:
- Vehicle unlocked
- Enable drive is transmitted by the EIS control unit (N73) to the Control Area Network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B).

A summer opening function can be started via the IR channel by pressing the "Unlock" transmitter button for longer than 1 s.
The following actuators are actuated via CAN-B in event of a summer opening:
- Driver door power window motor (M10/1)
- Front passenger door power window motor (M10/2)
- Front tilting/sliding roof motor (M12m1), with code (D27) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof
- Rear tilting/sliding roof motor (M12/1m1), with code (D24) Electric glass tilting/sliding in passenger compartment
- Left vent window motor (M21/8), with code (W32) Electric rear vent window in passenger compartment
- Right vent window motor (M21/9), with code (W32) Electric rear vent window in passenger compartment

Comfort closing with IR remote control, with code (FZ8) Comfort opening/closing with IR remote control
The following function requirements must be met:
- All doors closed.
- Vehicle completely locked.

The following actuators can be actuated b via CAN-y pressing the "Lock" transmitter button for longer than 1 s B:
- Driver door power window motor
- Front passenger door power window motor
- Front tilting/sliding roof motor , with code (D27) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof
- Rear tilting/sliding roof motor, with code (D24) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof in passenger compartment
- Left vent window motor, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment
- Right vent window motor, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment

If a door is opened during the Comfort "closing" function, the function is interrupted.

Sliding and rear-end door
The sliding doors and rear-end doors can be unlocked with the "Unlock sliding door, rear-end door and open/close sliding door" transmitter button.

This function is not dependent on the "global" or "selective" setting on the transmitter key.

Electric load compartment sliding door (E-LST), with code (T55) Electrical actuation for right sliding door or with code (T56) Electrical actuation for left sliding door
The corresponding E-LST can be opened or closed using the transmitter button "Unlock sliding door, rear-end door and open/close sliding door".

Battery and function indicator lamp, except code (ZU7) National version for Canada or except code (ZU8) National version for USA
When the "Lock" transmitter button or the "Unlock" transmitter button is actuated, the battery and function indicator lamp comes on momentarily and indicates the proper state of the battery (2 button cells) in the transmitter key and that they are ready for operation.

On vehicles with code (ZU7) National version for Canada or with code (ZU8) National version for USA, the "Lock" or the "Unlock" transmitter button illuminates when actuated indicating the function.

Mechanical key
The mechanical key can be removed from the transmitter key after pressing the pushbutton. When unlocking or locking the vehicle with the mechanical key, the central locking is not actuated (only the corresponding door is opened or locked)..
The anti-theft alarm system (ATA) on vehicles with code (FY1) ATA 2 with interior protection, tow-away protection and battery-operated horn or with code (FZ4) Anti-theft alarm system with interior protection and tow-away protection or with code (FZ5) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)) is not disarmed.

Actuation of hazard warning system during opening and closing Release
After unlocking, the hazard warning system is actuated once:

Arresting mechanism
The hazard warning system is actuated 3 times after a locking request.
The following function requirements must be met:
- All vehicles doors are closed.
- The transmitter key is inserted into the EIS control unit.

With comfort closing on vehicles with code (FZ8) Convenience opening/closing with IR remote control, the hazard warning system is activated, if the following actuators are connected:
- Driver door power window motor
- Front passenger door power window motor
- Front tilting/sliding roof motor , with code (D27) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof
- Rear tilting/sliding roof motor, with code (D24) Electric glass tilting/sliding roof in passenger compartment
- Left vent window motor, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment
- Right vent window motor, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment

The hazard warning system is actuated by the rear SAM control unit (N10) only if an opening or closing procedure is started via radio or IR.
