GF82.61-D-0003-01H Audio 50 APS Volume/Tone Settings

GF82.61-D-0003-01H Audio 50 APS Volume/Tone Settings
- with CODE (EN8) Sound 50 APS radio

All the volume and tone settings are adjusted on the radio/radio with navigation (N87/1) and transferred to the integrated audio gateway. It is necessary to differentiate between audio sources and service sources:
Audio sources:
- CD drive
- Radio tuner

Service sources:
- Traffic announcements
- Telephone

Volume setting
The volume setting is regulated using the rotary pushbutton of the radio/radio with navigation for the particular audio source that has been selected. In addition, the volume can be adjusted separately in all the audio and service areas (e.g. telephone, traffic information radio channel). Using the "Volume" button and the arrow keys on the radio/radio with navigation as well as the right multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) it is possible to increase or reduce the volume of each of the particular signal sources that has been selected (e.g. traffic information). Using the "Reset" function, predefined settings for all sound parameters, including volume, can be selected and reset to the manufacturer default settings.

Speed-dependent volume control (SDV)
The volume is adapted to the noise level in the passenger compartment by GAL and the automatic vehicle interior noise adaptation feature DRO. In this case, the speed signal is used as the reference value.

Reducing the volume
If the user presses the "Mute" function key on the radio/radio with navigation, the audio source currently selected is muted and the CD drive is paused.
The "muting" function status can also be triggered automatically. With an incoming call, the radio/radio with navigation switches to telephone mode and the audio source is muted.

Tone setting
The radio/radio with navigation makes it possible to manually adjust the tone for each audio source (bass, treble, balance, fader). The "Audio" function can be called up from all other functions, except the "Auto-On" function. Once the tone menu is opened, the tone setting appearing first on the display is the bass. Pressing the arrow keys opens the other tone controls for treble, balance (left and right) and fader (front and rear) as well as for increasing and decreasing the volume. The messages are displayed on the control panel of the radio/radio with navigation in the "Audio" function state. The volume control always refers to the function that is currently active. With a change in sound emphasis (balance, fading), the relative ratio of the volume of the individual speakers changes. The "Balance" and "Fading" adjustments can be changed by pressing the main key for sound distribution in the left control panel. The signal processing required for the volume and tone settings is performed via the integrated audio gateway of the radio/radio with navigation.
