Following steps are shown on vehicle with code (CL4) Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer and code (EN8) Sound 50 APS radio.
1 Remove fiber optic cable (6) from black coupling (5) of vehicle wiring harness.







2 Connect black connector (7) of electrical wiring harness for iPod interface (2), as shown, to black coupling (5) of vehicle wiring harness.
The connectors of the electrical wiring harness for iPod interface (2) are coded and cannot be swapped.







3 Insert fiber optic cable (6) in slot at black coupling (8) of electrical wiring harness for iPod interface (2).







4 Route electrical wiring harness for iPod interface (2) from slot of audio equipment into front passenger footwell and fix in place at vehicle wiring harness with cable ties (arrows).
Route electrical wiring harness for iPod interface (2) such that this cannot be damaged by chafing or crushing, otherwise a short circuit may occur.
