GF82.70-D-2008H Setting Up/Ending Phone Call, Function

GF82.70-D-2008H Setting Up/Ending Phone Call, Function

- with CODE (EH3) Universal preinstallation for networked portable CTEL

Call set-up
Function prerequisites:
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
- Enabled Subscriber identification module (SIM) card
- Correct personal identification number (PIN) entry and successful log-in

With the Universal Portable CTEL Interface (UPCI [UHI]) system, all calls are made using the particular portable CTEL exclusively via the hands-free system.

The user can set up a telephone call in one of the following ways:
- Dialing using the respective portable CTEL.
The desired phone number is entered using the telephone buttons or by selecting a phone number from the telephone book of the respective portable CTEL. If the "Accept phone call" button on the respective portable CTEL is then pressed, the telephone call is established.

- Dialing via the radio/radio with navigation (N87/1) with code (EF9) Sound 20 radio, the radio/radio with navigation with code (EN4) COMAND with TMC interface or the radio/radio with navigation with code (EN8) Sound 50 APS radio.
The numeric buttons in the control panel are used to enter the desired phone number or to select a phone number from different alphabetically sorted lists (e.g. missed calls, dialed phone numbers, accepted calls or own address book) by scrolling back and forth in the "Telephone" menu. If the "Accept call" button is pressed subsequently, the telephone call is established.

- Selection over the multifunction steering wheel (MFL).
Using the + and - button (S110s1) and the accept/terminate phone call button (S110s3), a stored telephone number can be selected from the telephone book, which is shown in the display (A1p1) in the instrument cluster (A1). If the system selection button (S111s3) is then pressed, the telephone call is established.

Muting of radio, compact disc (CD), navigation component or any component connected to the AUX jack
If one of the following audio devices is active at the beginning of a call, the call is muted:
- Radio/radio with navigation with code (EF9) Sound 20 radio
- Radio/radio with navigation with code (EN4) COMAND with TMC interface
- Radio/radio with navigation with code (EN8) Sound 50 APS radio

Toggling
Users can switch back and forth (toggle) between 2 telephone calls. The menu selection of the respectively installed audio device enables the user to switch between the two callers. While a user talks to one person on the line, the connection to the other is put on hold. However, voice transmission is interrupted.
A conference call, i.e. simultaneous communication with several callers is not possible.

Terminating a call
The user can choose one of the following to end a call:
- By pressing the "Terminate phone call" button on the respective portable CTEL
- Pressing the system selection button on the MFL
- By pressing the "Terminate call" control button in the control panel of each installed audio device
