Location
The driver door IR receiver is located in the lock cylinder guide in the driver door.

Task
The driver door IR receiver receives the infrared (IR) signals from the transmitter key.

Design
The driver door IR receiver consists of an infrared-sensitive semi-conductor chip with active control electronics.The IR receiver is recessed behind a filter disk.

Function
The driver door IR receiver converts the IR signal of the transmitter key into an electrical signal.The electrical signal is read in by the driver door control unit (N69/1).
