GF80.20-D-0005H Central Locking (CL), Function

GF80.20-D-0005H Central Locking (CL), Function

The central locking system controls the function "Remote controlled opening and closing" of the vehicle The EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) has a central function here. The following functions are performed:
- Assignment for driver door control unit (N69/1) and SAM control unit (N10).
- Operation of the outer safety statuses and corresponding transmission of closing messages for doors, right sliding door, with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, or left sliding door, with code (T19) Left sliding door, and rear-end doors (model 906.6/7) according to "global" or "selective" preselection.
- Enable and disable inside central locking button (N72/1s7).
- Management of "Automatic locking" function
- Control of relocking, if a door, right sliding door, with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, or left sliding door, with code (T19) Left sliding door, or rear-end door (model 906.6/7) is not opened within t = 40 s.
- Monitoring actuation frequency of CL (play protection). 30 closing and opening commands are permitted
- Control of relocking after opening and closing doors, right sliding door, with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, or left sliding door, with code (T19) Left sliding door and rear-end door (model 906.6/7).
- Transmission of messages of external securing and external enabling.
- Closing control for CL when threshold speed of 15 km/h is exceeded
- Switch-off of remote control functions when inserting transmitter key into EIS control unit.
- Re-enables locking functions after emergency opening (crash).

The central locking system can be operated in various manners:
- With transmitter key
- With inside central locking button in OBF control unit.
- By opening drive and passenger door from inside, if CL was locked previously via the "automatic locking" function.

The EIS control unit is also responsible for priority control of the CL.
This priority control is actuated when several different sources output a locking/unlocking request in rapid sequence.

The priorities are determined as follows:
- Emergency opening via crash signal
- Infrared (IR) actuation (transmitter key) on vehicles with comfort opening/closing with IR remote control
- Actuation via radio (transmitter key)
- Electric load compartment sliding door (E-LST)
- Locking through vehicle speed signal
- Actuation of inside central locking button
- Keyless-Entry on vehicles with Key-less entry+slide

A request currently in progress is processed before another request is accepted for processing. The EIS control unit checks the priority of all other incoming requests and the highest priority is buffered to transmit it as the command message after the previous action is completed.

Only commands from the remote control or the crash signal for an emergency opening are buffered. Other commands, e.g. from the inside central locking button are rejected.
