GF80.50-D-0001HA Anti-Theft Alarm System (ATA (EDW)), Function
GF80.50-D-0001HA Anti-Theft Alarm System (ATA [EDW]), Function
- with CODE (FZ4) Anti-theft alarm system with interior protection and towing sensor
- with CODE (FY1) ATA 2 with interior protection, towing sensor and battery-operated horn
The anti-theft alarm system (ATA) is activated via the "Lock" transmit button on the transmitter key, with the "Relocking" function or on vehicles with code (513) Belgium via the "Automatic activation" function (the ATA system is activated automatically when all doors in the vehicle are closed after t = 120 s). Activation of the ATA system is indicated by the turn signal lamp flashing three times as well as the LED flashing in the interior central locking button (N72/1s7).
The ATA system is deactivated via the "Unlock" transmit button on the transmitter key or by inserting the transmitter key into the EIS control unit (N73), e.g. "Circuit.15C ON" is activated.Deactivation of the ATA system is indicated by the turn signal lamp flashing once and when the LED in the interior central locking button goes out.
The ATA system monitors all inputs relevant for the ATA system for their non-actuated state. If a change of status is detected at one of the monitored inputs, an acoustic and visual alarm is given. On vehicles with code (FZ4) Anti-theft alarm system with interior protection and towing sensor the rear SAM control unit (N10) causes the signal horn to output acoustic signals H1On vehicles with code (FY1) ATA 2 with interior protection, towing sensor and battery-operated horn, the OCP control unit (N70) causes the battery-operated horn (H3/1) to output acoustic signals.
Output of the visual signals by the turn signal lamp and the interior lighting is also caused by the SAM control unit or the OCP control unit.
The control electronics of the ATA system is integrated into the OCP control unit, which takes over the master function and is interlinked with the controller area network, class B (interior compartment) (CAN B).
The OCP control unit performs a self-test after activation of the ATA. Then the OCP control unit reads in the messages and the status for the following components and "monitors" them:
- EIS control unit via CAN B.
- SAM control unit via CAN B.
- UCP control unit (N72/1) via CAN B.
- Hot water auxiliary heating control unit (N33/3), with code (H12) Auxiliary heater (warm water) or with code (HZ5) 10 kW warm water auxiliary heater with timer via CAN B.
- AAC control and operating unit (S98) via CAN B.
- 2nd warm water auxiliary heater control unit (N33/2), with code (HZ9) Heater booster, diesel or with code (HZ5) 10 kW warm water auxiliary heater with timer via CAN B.
- ATA hood switch (S62) via a discrete line.
- Front passenger door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/5s1), available from rear SAM control unit via CAN B.
- Driver door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/6s1), available from rear SAM control unit via CAN B.
- Rear-end door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/7s1), available from SAM control unit via CAN B.
- Left door CL rotary tumbler switch CREW CAB (M14/8s1), on model 906.2, available from SAM control unit via CAN B.
- Right door CL rotary tumbler switch CREW CAB (M14/9s1), on model 906.2, available from SAM control unit via CAN B.
- Right sliding door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/27s1), with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, available from SAM control unit via CAN B.
- Left sliding door CL rotary tumbler switch (M14/28s1), with code (T19) Left sliding door, available from SAM control unit via CAN B.
- front interior protection sensor (B44) with integrated inclination sensor, via a discrete line.
- center interior protection sensor (B44/1), on model 906.6/7, via front interior protection sensor with integrated inclination sensor.
- rear interior protection sensor (B44/2), on model 906.6/7, via front interior protection sensor with integrated inclination sensor.
- Battery-operated horn, with code (FY1) ATA 2 with interior protection, towing sensor and battery-operated horn, via a discrete line.
- The left heated rear window (R1/1) and right heated rear window (R1/2) on the rear-end doors, on model 906.6/7 with code (H22) Heated rear window or with code (W78) Window in tailgate or hinged rear door with wipe/washer system, available from SAM control unit via CAN B.
Alarm interruption of ATA system
The alarm is interrupted by actuating the "Unlock" transmit button on the transmitter key; simultaneously the ATA system is deactivated which is indicated by the turn signal lamp flashing once and the LED in the inner central locking button going out.
The OCP control unit receives the message "Unlock" via CAN B from the EIS control unit.
The OCP control unit transmits the message "EDW_ST (ATA status)" to the UCP control unit via CAN B.
