GF83.10-D-4160HD Rear Blower Motor, Component Description
GF83.10-D-4160HD Rear Blower Motor, Component Description
- with CODE (H08) High-performance air conditioning
A32/3 Rear heavy duty automatic air conditioning recirculation unit
A32/3a1 Blower regulator
A32/3m1 Blower motor
Location
The blower motor is located in the rear heavy duty automatic air conditioning recirculation unit on the roof of the vehicle.
Task
The blower motor increases or reduces the rate of circulation of the recirculated air in the vehicle depending on the setting made with the rear blower control button (+) (S98s2) and the rear blower control button (-) (S98s3), which are integrated into the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (S98).
Design
The blower motor consists of a housing, an armature with winding, a thermal protection switch, the motor axle, permanent magnets that are located on the housing wall, and the blower wheels, which are mounted on the motor axle.
Function
Depending on the setting made using the rear blower control button (+) and the rear blower control button (-), the blower regulator allows a specific voltage to get through to the blower motor.
The flow of current in the winding generates either a weak or a powerful magnetic field depending on the amperage. This magnetic field in turn induces the solenoid armature with winding to rotate in the magnetic field of the permanent magnet and the motor axle turns slower or faster. The thermal protection switch protects the blower motor against any thermal overload.
