The glow time output stage sends the status of the fuel filter condensation sensor with heating element (B76/1).

Drive train CAN
The CDI control unit receives the following information via the drive train CAN:
- Circuit status, circuit 15, circuit 50 and start enable (drive authorization system) from EIS control unit (N73)
- Vehicle speed from instrument cluster (A1)
- Fuel reserve from instrument cluster
- Crash signal from the restraint system control unit (N2/7)
- Nominal fan speed request, outside temperature and status of air conditioning from AAC control and operating unit (N22) via interior CAN (CAN B), EIS control unit and drive train CAN
- Wheel speed signals, brake recognition, engine torque request from ESP control unit (N47-5) (model 164) ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) (model 463 up to 31.8.08) ESP control unit (N30/4) (model 463 as of 1.9.08)
- Transmission control status information from fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (Y3/8n4)

Drive train sensor CAN (on model 463 with engine 642.886)
The CDI control unit receives the following information via the drive train sensor CAN:
- Nitrogen oxide concentration in exhaust from nitrogen oxide control unit downstream of diesel particulate filter (N37/7) and from nitrogen oxide control unit downstream of SCR catalytic converter (N37/8)
