GF77.20-P-2009GZ Open Tilting/Sliding Roof, Function

GF77.20-P-2009GZ Open tilting/sliding roof, function
- 164 with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof up to Model Year 8

Manually open with roof switch (N70s1)

Function requirements

- Terminal 15 "ON"
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
- 5 min. after terminal 15 "OFF", with front doors not yet opened (delay time) and vehicle not locked from outside
- The overhead control panel control unit (N70) recognizes the park position (roof switch not actuated for longer than 40 10 ms) before the roof switch is actuated

Function
The status of the EIS control unit (N73) is transmitted to the overhead control panel control unit via the CAN interior. An adjustment request via the roof switch to the SR motor (M12m1) is only performed, if circuit 15 "ON" is recognized on the EIS control unit. When the roof switch is pressed toward the rear to the 1st catch, the roof is moved until the desired position or the end stop is reached,

Obstruction sensor is not effective during manual adjustment

The "Open sliding roof" function is limited in the denormalized state. Actuation is only possible for a short time. Release and then press switch again to reactuate.

Automatically open with roof switch

Function requirements

- Terminal 15 "ON"
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
- 5 min. after terminal 15 "OFF", with front doors not yet opened (delay time) and vehicle not locked from outside
- The overhead control panel control unit recognizes the park position (roof switch not actuated for longer than 40 +/- 10 ms) before the roof switch is actuated
- Tilting/sliding roof normalized

Function
The status of the EIS control unit is transmitted to the overhead control panel control unit via CAN interior. An adjustment request via the roof switch to the SR motor is only performed, if circuit 15 "ON" is recognized on the EIS control unit. When the roof switch is pressed once toward rear to the 2nd catch point, the tilting/sliding roof is actuated automatically in the corresponding actuation direction. Actuation of the adjustment motor for the tilting/sliding roof is completed, when the end position is reached.

The obstruction sensor is always effective on automatic lock operations.

The automatic function is interrupted when the roof switch is

Open with air recirculation switch (N22/7s2) or air recirculation switch (N22s2)

Function requirements

- Terminal 15 "ON"
- Air conditioning is switched on.
- Actuate air recirculation switch for t > 1.5 s
- SR, window normalized and without active switch actuation
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
- Previously close tilting/sliding roof via recirculated air switch

Abort the function
- Circuit 15 "OFF"
- Tilting/sliding roof denormalization
- Roof switch actuation
- Blockage detection
- CAN message not present.
- Actuation of excess force limiter

Function
When the air recirculation switch is pressed for t > 1.5 s, the close command is transmitted via the AAC control and operating unit (N22) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) as CAN message to the left front door control unit (N69/1), right front door control unit (N69/2) and front SAM control unit (N10) for actuating the right rear power window motor (M10/6), left rear power window motor (M10/5) to the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) for actuating the left vent window motor (M21/8), right vent window motor (M21/9) (only on model 164.8 as well as the overhead control panel control unit. When the "Open" message is received by the air recirculation switch, the tilting/sliding roof and the windows in the front and rear doors are actuated in the "Open" direction until the stored position is reached.

The function can be activated if automatic closing via the recirculated air pushbutton was performed beforehand after circuit 15 "ON".

If "Close" via the air recirculation switch is initiated again during the "Open" sequence before the stored position is reached, then the initially stored opening position is retained. The position of vent window (model 164.8) is not stored, because only the positions "OPEN" and "CLOSED" are available. The windows, vent windows and SR are actuated with a time offset of 80 ms to reduce load on the vehicle electrical system.

Open with transmitter key (A8/1) only without Keyless Go, code 889

Function
If the "Unlock" button on the transmitter key is pressed for a longer period of time, the left front IR receiver (A26/1) or right front IR receiver (A26/2) transmits the opening request to the corresponding front door control unit.

The right front IR receiver is only installed on the Japanese version with maximum equipment

Function requirements
- Circuit 15C, circuit 15R and circuit 15 "OFF"
- No undervoltage or overvoltage

Abort conditions
- Function requirements are not satisfied
- Drive lock-up recognition
- Actuation request is rescinded
- CAN message not present.
- Tilting/sliding roof denormalization

The EIS control unit signals its status to the door control units and to the overhead control panel control unit. The EIS control unit continues to transmit its status to the front SAM control unit, it then actuates the rear power window motors. If the "Key is removed", the power window, vent windows (model 164.8) and SR motor are actuated and opened to the stored value. On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889, closing is only possible via the door handle buttons on the driver and passenger doors.

Convenience closing can also be performed with non-normalized windows. If the tilting/sliding roof is denormalized, this possibility is no longer possible. The excess force limiter of the SR and power window is not active. The individual windows, vent windows (model 164.8) and the SR are actuated with a time offset of 80 ms to reduce load on the vehicle electrical system.

If the "Lock/unlock" button on the transmitter key is released during the convenience closing/opening function, the function is stopped immediately. A new command can only be accomplished after checking the function prerequisites.
