Location
The CC pushbutton switch is located at the top left of the steering column module (N80).
Task
The TPM switch switches the cruise control functions and the variable Speed limiter on or off.
Function
Two switching contacts are always activated simultaneously when the cruise control switch is operated. The actual input takes place by closing one of the switching contacts (storing the speed). The safety contact must close simultaneously so that the input is accepted. The shift signals are detected by the steering column module and transferred to the Controller Area Network (data bus/CAN Bus) (CAN).
