All Model 164 and 251 Vehicles

No Air from Rear Center Outlets in Heating Mode

If you receive customer reports in the above mentioned vehicles of no air from the rear center outlets in heating mode with code 580, the reason is that the rear compartment is heated via the footwell. This function is the way the system is designed to work. If a customer wishes to have heat from the rear center vents, use the latest DAS version to flash the system. This is to be performed as customer pay only. The new software will cause the rear center vents to open by 20% in heating mode. Do not replace any parts.

Note:
The software update is not covered under warranty as the vehicle is functioning as designed. Vehicles from production date 12/01/2008 on have the latest software installed and are not allowed to be flashed.
