GF77.20-P-5224RT Normalize/Denormalize Panoramic Sliding Roof, Function
GF77.20-P-5224RT Normalize/Denormalize Panoramic Sliding Roof, Function
- with CODE (413) Panoramic sliding roof
- up to model year 08
Function requirements:
^ Reaching lock-up position of completely closed roller sun blinds or panoramic sliding roof
^ Before reaching the end stop position, a minimum of 3 pulse edges must be detected on each Hall sensor.
^ The signal for manual closing must be present in this position for longer than 0.5 s ±0.1 s.
^ A Hall sensor pulse is not detected during the time (0.5 s ±0.1 s) in the corresponding lock-up position.
Performing normalization
Close the panoramic sliding roof by means of the roof switch (N70s1) to the mechanical limit stop. Continue to activate roof switch.
The overhead control panel control unit (N70) continues to actuate the panoramic sliding roof motor (M12/6m1) and the panoramic sliding roof motor (M12/7m1) and sets the position counter to zero, if a lock-up of the motor is recognized for at least 0.6 s.
Renormalizing
Renormalization is accomplished in the same manner as normalization.
Renormalizing roller sun blind
Renormalization is accomplished every 20th time the roller sun blind is closed.
Renormalizing panoramic sliding roof
Renormalization is accomplished every 4th the roller sun blind is closed with the roof switch (N70s1).
Prerequisites for denormalization
^ Circuit 30 was interrupted.
^ The panoramic sliding roof or the roller sun blind exceed the defined motion range by 25 engine rotations.
^ One of the two Hall sensor signals is absent for t > 160 ms.
^ After overload protection is triggered or lock-up occurs. Two Hall sensor signals are missing for t > 160 ms during the closing procedure, despite of the completed reversal of the actuation of the panoramic sliding roof motor or the roller sun blind motor (M12/5m1).
^ The defined Hall sensor signal sequence is faulty.
Denormalized state
The position of the panoramic sliding roof is not known. The roof can only be closed and opened by means of the roof switch. However, the panoramic sliding roof motors are only actuated for one second. Then it is necessary to actuate the roof switch again.
If the Hall sensors are not present, the panoramic sliding roof can only be closed in increments of t = 320 ms with the roof switch.
The "convenience opening", "convenience closing" and "automatic opening" functions are not operative in the denormalized state.
