Function
The overhead control panel control unit (N70) receives the voltage pulses from Hall sensor 1, SRM12m1M12b1 and Hall sensor 2, SR (M12b2) located on the SR motor. They are counted and evaluated for position measurement.
When the Hall sensor pulses are not received for longer than 320 ms, even though the SR motor is activated, the SR motor is switched off. The tilting/sliding roof reverses direction in the case of lock-up during automatic closing.

Moreover, a software temperature protection switch in the overhead control panel control unit protects against overload.In the event of failure of the Hall sensors, the tilting/sliding roof can only be closed in increments of 320 ms with the roof switch (N70s1) or the emergency crank.
