Function
Tilting/sliding roof rain closing is actuated as follows:
^ Moistening of windshield is recognized by rain/light sensor
^ 12 h after the vehicle was locked last
^ The operating voltage or operating temperature is no longer within the range of the rain/light sensor

If the tilting/sliding roof in the open sliding roof position when the vehicle is locked, the rain/light sensor is activated for rain closing by the overhead control panel control unit after 30 s.
If the rain/light sensor recognizes rain on the windshield during monitoring, it wakes up the overhead control panel control unit. It transmits the "Close tilting/sliding roof, rain" command to the front SAM control unit (N10) via the passenger compartment CAN bus and causes the roof system drive unit, the tilting/sliding roof (SR) to move to the pop-up position.Then monitoring is no longer performed.

The interior protection alarm is ignored during SR rain closing actuated by the rain/light sensor.After rain closing, the interior protection is always rearmed unless it has been previously deactivated in the instrument cluster.A1

Function abort
The excess force limiter is also effective during rain closing and reverses the direction of the tilting/sliding roof.

The obstruction sensor is activated during rain closing.
Rain closing is deactivated after pinching is recognized.Rain closing is a country-dependent feature and must be enabled during production.
